Three cities, one funnel, measurable wins. Here's what the Sparks → Carson City → South Lake Tahoe pilot actually produced — and how we got there.
What we set out to do — build a real, prospect-grade list of small local businesses across three Northern Nevada markets that don't usually get hit by agencies. Sparks felt like the obvious test bed (close to our Reno base), and Carson City + South Lake Tahoe extend the funnel into a state-capital shelf and a tourist/local hybrid market respectively.
The 14% phone-coverage gap — our initial batch looked great on paper but only shipped with a valid phone number on 86% of records. The missing 14% quietly killed every outreach lane that depended on a phone-first channel, so we pivoted enrichment to Hunter.io. That single substitution is the difference between "we have a list" and "we have a list you can actually call."
The headline result — once Hunter.io enrichment and our internal IG-handle sweeps ran, we recovered a working Instagram handle on 68% of the pilot batch. The internal dashboard (funnel, backfills, sweeps) made the gap visible in the first place and is what keeps the number honest from week to week — same operational tooling we use for live clients.
